This is a wonderful dark novel for all who love the undead! Nancy Baker is a great Canadian writer, who gives her characters such life, you could feel their suffering.

The story starts off with this women named Ardeth, who gets kiddnapped and has to share her space with a vampire, who is also a prisoner in the cell next to her. She becomes his food for some time untill she and him decide the only way out alive is to make her a vampire. While they are in captive, the vampire is used to make snuff movies. Finally, Ardeth is found dead on the floor next to the vampire's cell.

The plot thickens when she is burryed outside and rises to destroy her kiddnappers and free the vampire.

There's more to the story, but then you wouldn't need to read the book now would you?
